Find out how the sun and wind can be used to heat, cool, and power your home. The workshop will
explore how to use the sun’s energy to heat a home in the cold days of the winter, and wind (breezes)
to cool a home in the warm days of the summer. Through use of solar panels and wind turbines, the
sun and wind can be utilized to provide electricity to your home.
Michael Goldschmidt is an architect and teaching assistant professor in the department of
Architectural Studies at MU, and is a State Housing and Environmental Design State Specialist with
MU Extension. Michael teaches workshops and classes on green building design and climatic design
of buildings.
