If you garden or keep a few hens or have access to a CSA or Farmers Market, you may have a super-abundance of delicious, locally produced food. Why not try to preserve some of it for fall and winter? We'll talk about freezing, dehydrating and canning. We can talk about root cellar storage, if anyone is interested.
Claire Garden has been a gardener for many years and comes from a long line of gardener/farmers who produced and preserved virtually all their own food. She homesteaded in Kansas for about a decade during which she helped raise and preserve most of the vegetables, fruit and meat consumed in a year.
